Serge GAY
Founder
Mr. Serge Gay has built his entire professional career in the education industry. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise and established strong credibility in this field.
He began his journey as a school headmaster, before progressing to Vice-President and Board Member of the Lemania Swiss Group of Schools. He played a key role in the group’s development and international expansion.
Mr. Gay was instrumental in defining Lemania’s strategic direction. He contributed to the implementation of the International Baccalaureate program and introduced the boarding school concept in several institutions within the group.
He also helped strengthen Lemania’s reputation in Switzerland, while increasing brand awareness internationally. These achievements reflect his strong leadership and deep understanding of the education sector.
As the founder of Swiss School Consulting -Advisory services for Swiss education – , Mr. Gay has launched numerous projects in both academic and vocational education, in Switzerland and abroad.
He holds a Diploma in Education and a degree in Physical Education from the University of Lausanne.
In addition to his institutional leadership, Mr. Gay has extensive experience in student placement. He regularly supports families from around the world in finding the best Swiss boarding school or higher institutions for their children.
He also advises Swiss private schools wishing to franchise their brand internationally. Furthermore, he supports foreign investors seeking to establish Swiss-style educational institutions in their home countries.

Michel BAUM
Managing Partner Paris Office SSC
Mr. Baum has extensive experience in both operational and top-level management. He has worked across various industries in Europe and the United States.
He began his career at Arthur Andersen, before moving into leadership roles in the advertising sector. In 1995, he joined a global leader in environmental services. There, he developed strong expertise in Public-Private Partnerships. At Veolia Environnement, he managed the private investor share in the Berlin waterworks.
Between 2008 and 2014, he held several roles in finance, project management, business development, and government relations. His focus was on Benelux, Germany, and Poland. He served as Senior Executive Vice President for seaport operations and as CEO in inland waterway logistics.
He also led acquisition projects and helped grow fast-developing businesses in the Balkans. He sat on various advisory boards, including the EMO Bulk Terminal in Rotterdam.
In 2014, Mr. Baum founded Riverstream Consult, a firm providing strategic advice in logistics and Public-Private Partnerships. He was also a board member of Union-ALFM, an organization supporting French schools abroad. In this role, he helped expand the global reach of French education, particularly in Africa, through PPP models.
He is currently involved in developing digital and innovative educational solutions in collaboration with EdTech companies.
Mr. Baum now serves as Managing Partner of the Paris Office of Swiss School Consulting, offering advisory services for Swiss education.

Daniela RE
Senior Advisor
Bringing a broad range of experience in operational and financial management, Mrs. Re has contributed to several industries, including the education sector and advisory services for Swiss education.
For 17 years, she held senior finance roles at Digital Equipment Corporation / Compaq, ultimately becoming CFO for Compaq Italy in 2000.
She later served at SITA, ORACLE, and ALCOA as Finance, IT, and Purchasing Director for both EMEA and Global Business Units.
From 2008 to 2011, Mrs. Re was Senior Vice President and Group CFO at Laureate Education. During this time, she led the Hospitality, Art & Design global business unit, where she drove growth, managed strategic acquisitions, and strengthened the overall organization.
In 2013, she became General Manager of Verbier International School, where she led the process that resulted in its acquisition by the Lemania Group in 2014.
Currently, Mrs. Re is a Partner at Swiss School Consulting. She also focuses on entrepreneurial and financial advisory services, supporting clients in the education and business sectors.
In parallel, she is a part-time lecturer in Financial Management for Master’s students at Vatel School in Valais.
Mrs. Re holds a degree in Finance and Economics from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and an MBA from European University in Geneva.

Philippe KOPCSAN
Senior Advisor
Over the past two decades, Mr. Kopcsan has played a key role in the creation, management, and development of educational institutions at primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, across the globe.
He has collaborated with prestigious organizations such as Globeducate, Omnes Education, the Glion Institute of Higher Education, and Le Cordon Bleu. His projects have spanned Europe, Asia, and the Americas, reflecting both global reach and versatility.
Based in Sophia Antipolis, France, Mr. Kopcsan provides consulting services to schools, educational groups, and EdTech companies. His focus includes strategic planning, academic support, digital transformation, and operational development.
His areas of expertise cover a wide range of topics: identifying buyers and investors, producing education market intelligence reports, recruiting students, organizing student study tours, and supporting the launch of new schools or multi-brand campuses.
Mr. Kopcsan brings both deep expertise and a broad international networkto Swiss School Consulting, where he contributes actively to various Swiss and global education projects.
He holds a Master’s degree in Management from ESSEC Business School in Cergy, France.
Mr. Kopcsan is fully bilingual in English and French, with working knowledge of German, Thai, and Japanese.
